Between 7:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., our transport will pick you up from various hotels to commence our expedition to one of the Earth’s deepest canyons. Traveling along the Yura highway, skirting the snowy Chachani, we proceed towards Pampa Cañahuas, a part of the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve, inhabited by the exquisite South American vicuñas. At the Toqra wetlands, diverse migratory birds, including flamingos, grace our journey. Passing through the extinct volcano, Chucura, and pausing at the highest point of the road (4,910 m.a.s.l.)—the volcanoes viewpoint—we marvel at a vast expanse of the western mountain range.

Around 13:30 to 14:00, we reach Chivay, where a delightful lunch awaits.

In the afternoon, unwind in the La Calera thermal baths, boasting thermo-medicinal waters ranging from 35º to 38º Celsius. Optionally, partake in a folkloric dinner show at 19:00, provided your hotel is in Chivay.

Kickstart the day with an early breakfast before heading to the Cruz del Cóndor viewpoint—a strategic spot for observing the canyon and the awe-inspiring Condor flight. Upon return, visit the charming towns of Maca and Yanque, each adorned with colonial churches. Explore the Antahuilque, Huayrapunko, and Peña Blanca viewpoints, offering stunning vistas of Colca with its impressive terraces.

After lunch, board our transport for the return journey to Arequipa, with a stop at Patahuasi. Anticipate arrival in Arequipa at around 17:00 pm.
