Commence your journey early from Cusco in private transport. Visit intriguing sites like the Chullpas of Ninamarca and the traditional town of Paucartambo. Lunch will be enjoyed amidst the cloud forest, known for its endemic species. Descend through this lush region, encountering spectacled bears and Peru’s national bird, the cock of the rock. Pilcopata awaits in the afternoon, where you’ll spend the night in our lodge.
After an early breakfast, venture into the forest to observe monkeys and birds. Visit a coca plantation and an animal rescue center before traveling to Port Atalaya. Begin a boat descent along the Alto Madre de Dios River, stopping at hot springs. Enjoy lunch and continue to Boca Manu for an overnight stay.
Early departure to witness the parrot lick and pass through the Limonal security checkpoint. Journey deeper into the Reserved Zone, reaching Casa Machiguenga after four hours. Encounter diverse bird and animal species during the trip. Spend the afternoon exploring the pristine jungle and stay overnight in Casa Matsiguenka.
morning hike to Lake Salvador, searching for giant river otters and other wildlife. Return for lunch and take a 3-hour afternoon hike to appreciate the flora and fauna diversity. Optionally, participate in a night walk to discover nocturnal species.
An early start with breakfast, followed by walks around the lodge and Lake Otorongo. Visit an observation tower for panoramic views and observe birds in the forest canopy. Board a boat downstream, spotting caimans, turtles, and birds. Arrive in Boca Manu for an overnight stay.
Board a boat on the Alto Madre de Dios River, journeying upstream through the Amazon Jungle. Optional stops at hot springs and arrival at Amazon Manu Lodge in the afternoon. Rest in comfortable rooms surrounded by the jungle’s enchanting sounds. An optional night walk is available.
Early wake-up for the return trip to Port Atalaya. Transfer to Cusco by car, arriving in the evening.
