Our journey begins with an early departure from Cusco, heading north through the Vilcabamba valley. After exploring the Vilcabamba valley, we reach Mollepata Village for breakfast. A short drive takes us to Soraypampa, the starting point for our trek towards Chakana and Humantay Lake. Our experienced guide offers recommendations for the trek, and we hike for approximately 3 hours to Chakana, surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of the area. After enjoying breathtaking views of Vilcabamba mountain range, Salkantay, and Humantay, we continue for 1.5 hours to reach the stunning turquoise Humantay Lake. A return hike takes us to Mollepata for lunch, followed by a private convoy back to Cusco, arriving around 7:00 p.m.
