CITY TOUR CUSCO

Our transfer will pick you up at your hotel to take you to the tour’s starting point, available in two shifts: morning (8:30 AM – 2:00 PM) and afternoon (1:00 PM – 6:30 PM).

Cusco Cathedral: Adorned with intricate woodwork, impressive altars, and beautiful paintings from the Cusco School, the cathedral conceals hidden elements of indigenous thought.

Qoricancha – Temple of the Sun: A short walk leads to Qoricancha, where fasting and going barefoot were required for entry. A sanctuary dedicated to deities of the Sun, Moon, Stars, Rainbow, Thunder, and Lightning, Qoricancha showcases the exquisite lithic technology crafted by the Incas.

Sacsayhuaman: A 3 km journey from Cusco takes us to Sacsayhuaman, offering a panoramic view. Built with limestone blocks weighing 25 to 130 tons, Sacsayhuaman served as a vast gathering place for festivals like WARACHIKUY and INTI RAYMI.

Qenqo: Meaning “labyrinth” in Quechua, Qenqo showcases limestone rock structures and formations believed to be used for various purposes, including astronomy, religion, embalming, and mummification.

Puka Pukara: Derived from Quechua, meaning “red fortress,” Puka Pukara served as a strategic location for controlling access to and from the Imperial City of Cusco.

Tambomachay: Known as the “Inca Baths,” Tambomachay is a resting place with flowing waters, often referred to as the “Waters of Eternal Youth.”

The City Tour concludes with transportation back to your hotel in Cusco.
