The Cordillera Vilcabamba, an abode of significant historical and natural wonders, unfolds a journey crucial to the development of Andean civilization. Our proposed trek stands out as one of the most remote, considering this mountain range served as a refuge for the last rebel Inkas, led by Manqo Inka II, fleeing the invasion for about forty years. The journey, rich in geography, flora, fauna, and history, unfolds in the remote southern Andes, culminating in the legendary Machu Picchu—a pinnacle of Andean civilization embodied by the Inkas.
